Hunting

Argentina delivers world-class red stag hunting across dramatically different landscapes—plus a deep bench of additional big game for hunters who want to add trophies. We have several lodges to choose from, and we will work with you to select which lodge best fits what you are looking for.

Seasons
  • Prime hunting season: generally March through June

  • The red stag “roar” (rut): typically mid-March through April

Species you can pursue

While red stag is the headline, Argentina is ideal for building a varied trophy list, often including combinations like:

  • Red stag (free-range and/or estate options depending on the property)

  • Blackbuck, water buffalo, wild boar, and additional species that vary by region/property (axis, fallow, mouflon, rams/goats, and more).

What to expect (trophy & effort)
    • Trophy expectations vary by region and style of hunt—some La Pampa free-range programs outline conservative stag expectations around 250–280 gross SCI with bigger taken each year.

    • Other programs highlight the potential for 300–340 SCI class free-range stags, with larger possible based on the property and management.

    • Physical demand is flexible: some hunts may involve serious hiking (even 1–15 miles/day if you want it), but many areas can also be hunted more conservatively from vehicles—your pace can be tailored.

Activities

Touring Highlights That Pair Perfectly with Your Hunt:
  • Buenos Aires: Dive into the spirit of the capital city with live tango performances, exclusive leather shopping, guided tours of iconic neighborhoods and monuments like La Recoleta, and evenings filled with world-class cuisine and Argentine wine.
  • Mendoza Wine Country: Relax and recharge with vineyard tours in the Uco Valley or Luján de Cuyo, horseback rides through the vines, scenic hikes along the Andes, or even a helicopter flight over the rolling hills. Add in spa treatments and curated food and wine pairings for the ultimate post-hunt unwind.
  • Iguazu Falls: Explore this awe-inspiring natural wonder with a private guide, enjoy panoramic views from a helicopter ride, or slow down with a day at the pool or spa surrounded by the subtropical jungle.
  • Bariloche & Patagonia: Experience alpine Argentina with its iconic glacial lakes, charming mountain towns, artisan shops, and incredible outdoor recreation. Hike, boat, fish, or simply soak up the scenery along the Route of the Seven Lakes.
