Family owned and operated since 1992. This fantastic Botswana hunting safari lodge offers rifle and bow hunting, photographic game drives, San cultural experiences, horse-back riding and other activities for hunters and non-hunting guests in Botswana. They operate in their own privately owned game conservancy of 120,000 hectares (About 240,000 acres) in the Kalahari in Botswana. All safaris are specifically tailored to suit each guests needs.
This Botswana hunting Safari Company has a close relationship with the local San Bushmen community, a passion for the conservation of wildlife and ethical sustainable hunting. Their season runs from the beginning of March to the end of October each year. They pride themselves on offering clients excellent service and building strong friendships with all their guests. The camp is located in the Kalahari about 280km south west of Maun which is considered the gateway to the Okavango Delta. The closest town is Ghanzi which is about 42km. When Family Expeditions designs your African safari you can expect the following: We will listen as you share your vision of what your African Safari Experience should look like. We then begin designing your safari with lodge and destination selection, activities selection, flights, meet & greet services, travel insurance, clothing & equipment list, countdown to Africa (this assist you with detail preparation leading up to trip time), detailed pricing with all included/not included items, and more.
As a full service African Safari specialists, we have visited over 80+ safari lodges in Africa over the last 30 years. We selected only a handful of those for you that have met our strenuous criteria. Combination big game hunting, bird hunting, Tiger fishing, photo safari, Cape Town and Victoria Falls safaris are our specialty.
Accommodations & Meals
This outfitter has three spacious fully air-conditioned stone thatched cottages with en-suite bathrooms and three large Meru tents under thatched roofs with wooden doors and en-suite bathrooms. Each luxurious room is equipped with a mini-bar, coffee station, in-room safe, hair-dryer, fan and a private veranda with exquisite views of the serene waterhole.
They can accommodate twelve guests at one time. They are able to accommodate more guests in camp for larger groups in additional accommodations if pre-arranged. However, only four professional hunts will hunt this property at any given time.
You might enjoy the eco-friendly swimming pool on a raised platform that is hidden between the trees which overlook the hippo pool. Meals are served according to your request in the rustically furnished air-conditioned stone thatched dining room.
Enjoy the camps open air lounge and bar area which is set on the edge of the hippo pool and productive watering hole. At night you can experience the magnificent starry night skies of the Kalahari from around the camp fire.
This is a fantastic trip to combine with Tiger fishing in the Okavango Delta area! Prime time for fishing there is July to October! We will take care of all the details for this amazing adventure.
Bow hunting: Your dream has always been to go to Africa on a bow hunt. The staff here is dedicated bow hunters! They offer walk and stalk bow hunting as well as strategically placed blinds for bow hunters all over the property. Bow hunting is very successful with this outfitter and growing in popularity. We recommend that all bow hunters arrive well prepared, with accessories and spares that they may need, as Botswana does not offer much in regards to bow hunting supplies The bow blinds look like large termite mounds. If you have never been to Africa, the termite mounds are something to behold. These blinds are big enough for three people and dug into the ground about 3 feet with a bench to sit on.
Rifle hunting: Enjoy a safari company that is committed to ethical sustainable hunting and ensuring all guests have a successful safari. As traveling with a gun can sometimes be a bit tedious depending on where you are traveling from or to on your trip the lodge offers all clients the option of using their rifles on their safari. (Please contact us for a list of rifles.) They charge per round of ammunition used.
Season: The best months are April through September.
Botswana is the home of the most amazing photo safaris! Add on days before or after your hunt to the gorgeous Okavango Delta or horseback safaris (booked well in advance).

Most safaris are 7 nights or more.
Day 1: Arrive in Maun, Botswana where the lodge will greet you for your road transfer 3 hours to the hunting land.
Day 2 -?: Hunt this amazing 200,000 acres!
Departure day: The lodge will provide a road transfer back to Maun for your travels home.

Your final destination is Maun, Botswana. To travel Maun you will fly through Johannesburg and connect to a commercial flight to Maun.
Our ground agents will assist you with your connections in Johannesburg.

Family Expeditions, LLC confirmation and refund policy:
If your trip is more than 90 days out from date of departure, a 50% non-refundable deposit confirms your reservation and must be received within 10 days of booking to confirm your dates. All trips must be paid in full at least 90 days prior to the departure date. If your trip date is within 90 days, FULL payment for the trip is required. All payments to Family Expeditions are non-refundable. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your trip, we will do everything in our power to assist you in finding a suitable substitute or transferring your dates per the lodge/providers/government requirements. Trip insurance protects your investment!
