Argentina Duck Hunting — High Limits, Plus Dove & Perdiz at a Historic Estancia
Argentina duck hunting with a limit worth flying for. Most duck hunts — anywhere in the world — end when you’ve shot a handful of birds. Here, each hunter can harvest up to 30 ducks per morning outing, over decoys, on the wetlands of the Paraná River. It is the highest duck limit of any lodge we represent in Argentina, and it changes the way a morning feels: no rationing shots, no hunt ending at first light. You shoot until your shoulder tells you it’s done.
The variety is the other half of the story. Mornings belong to ducks; afternoons shift to high-volume dove shooting 30–40 minutes from the lodge, or classic perdiz hunting behind well-trained pointers. Every day is built around what your group wants, and the schedule can change with the weather, the birds, or your mood.
You stay in a beautifully restored estancia from the early 1900s — handcrafted woodwork, European-imported stone, and a level of comfort that has nothing to prove. Groups of six or more get exclusive use of the lodge. Whether you’re introducing a loved one to wingshooting or making lifelong memories with family and friends, we arrange everything — transfers, licenses, lodging, and the hunt itself. Contact us, and we handle the details.
If you’re comparing experiences, among our many options seen in our menu, we can arrange a cast & blast trip pairing dove hunting with Golden Dorado fishing on the Paraná, and high-volume dove hunting in Cordoba.
Accommodations & Meals
The estancia dates to the early 1900s and has been beautifully restored, rich with history and charm: handcrafted woodwork, European-imported stone, and warm, inviting spaces that balance comfort with authenticity. Evenings end in old-world surroundings with first-class service, Argentine cuisine paired with fine wines, and the kind of unhurried conversation a place like this earns.
The lodge accommodates 4 to 12 guests — ideal for families, couples, or small groups. Eight twin-bed rooms and four bathrooms give everyone privacy, and the group has shared spaces to enjoy together. Groups of six or more receive exclusive use of the lodge, so the place belongs to your party.
Meals & Wines
The food is a great part of the experience here. Mornings start with a big, hearty breakfast before the hunt — the kind that carries you through a cold morning in a duck blind. Lunches are a well-earned break between hunts, and dinners are the main event: gourmet Argentine cuisine paired with fine wines, served with the unhurried pace this house seems to impose on everyone who walks in.
Expect the Argentina you came for — protein-heavy and hearty, famous beef done properly, and a Malbec worth lingering over while the day’s shots are replayed and generously exaggerated.
Hunting
Approx. Duck Season: April 20 – August 15
Experience the ultimate Argentina mixed-bag wingshooting adventure, where every day brings a new challenge. Morning duck hunts take place over decoys in prime wetland habitats, offering exciting passing shots. Hunts are typically conducted with two hunters per blind, and each shooter can harvest up to 30 ducks or 4 boxes of shells per outing, whichever comes first. Guides rotate between blinds, ensuring a seamless experience. The drive to the boats is typically 5–15 minutes, with a 15–20 minute boat ride to the blinds.
Dove and Perdiz Hunts
Afternoon dove hunts offer high-volume shooting just 30–40 minutes from the lodge. Expect an action-packed experience, often going through 10–20 boxes of shells per outing. For those who prefer a more traditional upland hunt, perdiz hunting over well-trained pointers is an excellent alternative. Perdiz flush individually or in pairs, not in coveys like quail, making for a classic and rewarding hunt. Perdiz hunts are guided by two hunters per guide, with a limit of 8 birds per half-day hunt. Guests can swap a morning duck hunt for a perdiz hunt at no additional cost, while exchanging an afternoon dove hunt for perdiz incurs a $180 fee.
Daily Schedule
Mornings begin with a delicious, hearty breakfast before heading out to the duck blinds before sunrise. Hunt through mid-morning, then return to the lodge for a well-earned break and lunch. Afternoons offer time to relax before heading out for an exciting dove or perdiz hunt around 2:30–3:00 PM, shooting until sunset. Evenings at the lodge are a highlight, featuring fine wines, gourmet meals, and warm Argentine hospitality, providing the perfect setting to relive the day’s adventures.
Activities
The estancia itself is the off-field experience: a restored early-1900s house with spaces built for unwinding, meals worth sitting down for, and evenings that don’t need a television. Non-hunters are welcome and enjoy the same meals, wines, and surroundings while the group is in the field.
Because the lodge is about three hours from Buenos Aires, we can build touring into your trip — a night or two in the city coming or going, with private touring we’re happy to arrange. Extensions to Mendoza wine country, Iguazu Falls, and Patagonia are also available, and we handle all the details.

When is duck season in Argentina?
The season at this lodge runs approximately April 20 through August 15 — the Argentine winter. For US hunters, that means prime duck hunting during the American summer offseason.

Can I swap hunts?
Yes — a morning duck hunt can be swapped for perdiz at no cost. Swapping an afternoon dove hunt for perdiz incurs a $180 fee. The schedule is customized daily for your group.
Do non-hunters enjoy this lodge?
Yes. Non-hunters enjoy the estancia’s meals, wines, and surroundings, and we can arrange Buenos Aires touring or trip extensions to Mendoza, Iguazu Falls, or Patagonia around the hunt.

Fly into Buenos Aires; a lodge representative drives your group about 3.5 hours to the lodge. No domestic flight is required, and you can hunt doves the afternoon you arrive.
