Your Italian Wingshooting Experience:
-
-
Season: Runs September through December each year.
-
Primary hunting: Traditional organized driven pheasant shoots on historic Italian estates.
-
Where/terrain you hunt: Hilly ground with diverse drives across vineyards, forests, and rolling hills.
-
Typical shoot format: Up to 3 shooting days; a typical day includes 4 drives, with 8–10 shooters per line, plus personal loaders.
-
Expected volume: The page references the potential for ~400 pheasants in a day (bag varies by group/conditions).
-
How you hunt: Emphasizes hunting over pointing dogs for challenging birds in a long-standing Italian tradition.
-
Species notes: Pheasants and hares are described as totally wild; partridges are released well in advance and still provide a strong hunt.
-
