Our First-Hand Experience

Touring Italy has been a favorite for our family for many many years.  You can imagine our excitement when we discovered we could combine hunting and off the beaten path touring all in one trip.  The Italian Alps took our breath away with Ibex and Chamois racing up and down the steep jagged mountainsides.  We toured private chalets overlooking breathtaking scenery, stayed in quaint mountain hotels, enjoyed private winery tours and lunch hosted by vineyard owners, toured Rome and Venice all in a matter of a few days.  One of our lovely little boutique hotels was located in Gubbio in the Umbria province adjacent to Tuscany.  From here we sought wild hogs and Roe Deer on one of the most magnificently gorgeous private properties we have ever seen.  To top off our experience, the castle located on the property was made available just for us!  Guests enjoy private dinners and/or cooking here following their day of hunting.  We were completely awed by the access this outfitter enjoys throughout Italy because of his own storied family history and connections.

Italy hunting and cooking lessons combined for an amazing family adventure. You have an exceptional opportunity to hunt Roe Deer, truffles and wild boar on private lands.  At the same time take advantage of cooking classes with a famous Italian chef.  During your 6 night Italy hunting and cooking lessons adventure, you will enjoy the privacy of a private villa.  You will be hosted by your chef as well as your hunting guide and touring guide.

Italy hunting and cooking lessons tour highlights:

  • Private famous Italian chef cooking lessons integrated with hunting theme of truffles, game meat from the hunt and Fiorentina steak
  • Hunt for truffles with a trifulau and his dogs in the nearby forest then prepare truffles with the chef
  • Hunt Roe Deer and wild boar mixed into the itinerary
  • Driven Wild boars can be mixed into the itinerary for small groups of 6
  • Gastronomic experience focus on Chianina meat: the mythical bread giving Fiorentina Steak
  • After cooking and hunting for a few days, combine the two activities learning creative ways to cook your wild boars and roe deer shot on previous days with your chef for a grand finale dinner
  • Private touring in this most quaint area of Tuscany/Umbria visiting Assisi, Citta di Castellow medieval villages, Montepulciano and Chianti wine regions and more.   All touring customized to your personal interests

We are proud to hunt two of the finest private hunting areas in central Italy. Both are privately owned by two of the most important Roman families and hunted by them only in the past.  Thanks to excellent personal relationships, we are allowed to bring in a small number of guests every year.  The low hunting pressure and centuries of game management make these two areas some of the absolute best, if not the best, in Central Italy.  Trophies from these properties are excellent with the opportunity for spot and stalk roe deer and wild boar.  The lovely landscape is hilly, with small forests and open fields.

See suggested itinerary below please.

Hunting

Hunting in Italy can best be described as an amazing off the beaten path adventure to enhance any touring trip to Italy!  Your adventure will be customized to fit the itinerary that you wish to enjoy.

Hunting is conducted by spot and stalk, driven or high seat (hunting blind).

Hunting Areas:

While hunting in Italy with us, you will access some of the most exclusive privately owned hunting areas, taking advantage of the combination of century’s old game management, low hunting pressure and fully dedicated services.  These properties are the most magnificent hunting properties in Italy available only because of the family connections and integrity of the outfitter.

As an example, we are proud to have the chance in the itinerary shown below to hunt a 10.000 acres estate and the adjoining estate, privately owned by one of the most important roman families and hunted by them only; thanks to good personal relations, we are allowed to bring in a small number of guests every year. The low hunting pressure and centuries of game management made of this area one of the best, if not the best, in Central Italy with trophies well above the average and the opportunity to spot and stalk roe deer and wild boar. The landscape is hilly, with small forests, open fields and an ancient castle in the middle. The area is 10 minutes away from Gubbio city center.
