Our desert concessions provide the very best elephant hunting in Africa. The area is a wild community reserve north of the Khaudum National Park which is located between Etosha National Park and the Zambezi Region (Formerly known as the Caprivi Strip). You will hunt 450,000 acres of exclusive hunting land.
One of the key reasons for high success here is that the outfitter has installed 6 solar paneled water holes providing year around water for the game in the area. While no hunting is around the water holes, this does bring a huge amount of game to this dry arid landscape.
The best time to hunt here is in the fall when the area is driest from September to November.
All hunts here are free range with expectations of some of Africa’s largest mature bull elephants. Your lodging will be in a scenic tented camp with a fantastic camp chef.
ALL meat from the animals hunted is distributed to the surrounding villages.
Accommodations & Meals
Our camps are of the finest, typical East African style tents all with en suite bathrooms. Twenty-four hour power is provided by solar systems with back up generators for those overcast days. Complimentary wifi is available, laundry done daily and the catering is without a doubt of the highest standard available in Africa.
Hunting
We are famous for our huge elephant and in theseareas we can also provide leopard and buffalo
however, quota is limited. Phenomenal plains
game hunting compliments the big game. We can
also hunt Cheetah and Black Faced Impala, both
species only available in Namibia however, neither
are importable to the USA. The shy Damara Dik–Dik
is another specie only available in Namibia.
Fortunately the Dik-Dik is importable to the USA.
Leopard are limited but, our success rates 100
percent and some truly magnificent heavy Toms are
taken each year. The plains game hunting is
unsurpassed with a wide variety available. All
hunting is done on foot and old animals are
selected at all times.
Changing Generations
All meat from the animals hunted is distributed to the surrounding villages. A project is underway and plans have been drawn and approved for the building of a hostel in Livayi village for the school children. This hostel will have separate dormitories and ablutions for boys and girls. Currently the children sleep in grass huts with no facilities. Funding for this project has started and we have several contributions but we have a long way to go.

If your trip is more than 90 days out from date of departure, a 50% non-refundable deposit confirms your reservation and must be received within 10 days of booking to confirm your dates. All trips must be paid in full at least 90 days prior to the departure date. If your trip date is within 90 days, FULL payment for the trip is required. All payments to Family Expeditions are non-refundable. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your trip, we will do everything in our power to assist you in finding a suitable substitute or transferring your dates per the lodge/providers/government requirements. Trip insurance protects your investment!
