Looking for a red stag and/or elk hunt the whole family can enjoy—without a passport? This upscale Oklahoma 6,000 acre estate blends exceptional views, trophy-class elk and red stag, and the kind of thoughtful hospitality that makes travel easy for families. Private suites, friendly guides, and chef-prepared meals let everyone relax while focusing on the pursuit. From first-light glassing to fireside s’mores and stories under Oklahoma’s big sky, it’s the kind of experience that lingers—so special you’ll start planning the next trip before the first is over.
Let’s face it, not everyone has time or ability to hike the steep mountains out west in search of their dream elk…sometimes more than once to have success. Some people have no interest in traveling overseas for the majestic red stag found in New Zealand, Argentina or Europe. Or maybe you have been on these adventures without success and it is time to make it happen! Your family wants to join in on the adventure with you or you just need a get away on your own. This Oklahoma outfitter will meet and exceed all your expectations.
An “experience of a lifetime” you’ll want to repeat with kids, parents, or close friends, season after season.
Accommodations & Meals
Settle into a comfortable, modern setting where private suites, inviting gathering spaces, and great food are part of the experience—not an afterthought. Evenings center around shared meals, stories from the field, and tomorrow’s plan; mornings start with simple hot breakfasts and an easy launch to the hunt. Enjoy at tasty brunch after the hunt and some delicious snacks before heading out for the afternoon hunt.
Main Lodge: Five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms anchor the primary lodge, complemented by a central seating area, dining room, open-style kitchen, bar, mud-room, and outdoor seating—perfect for fireside s’mores and starry skies.
Second Lodge: A separate entertainment-forward space offers two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a sauna, bar, large-screen TV, pool table, and shuffleboard—great for teens and adults to unwind. A workout room and massage room are coming soon to round out recovery and relaxation between hunts.
Fishing
The estate is developing a private bass and bream pond that’s already stocked and growing into a fun, easy add-on. Expect a clear, well-managed waterway with structure and habitat for steady action—ideal for a quick cast between hunts or a relaxed afternoon with kids. As the fishery matures over the next year or two, look for catch-and-release opportunities for quality largemouth, with simple bank access and small-craft options for fly or conventional tackle.
Hunting
Species & Quality: Managed estate elk and red stag with strong genetics, balanced age classes, and year-round habitat improvements. Expect mature bulls and stags with excellent antler potential and consistent encounter rates for well-prepared shooters.
Methods: Primarily spot-and-stalk with optional very nice blinds/tower stands if preferred or needed. Glassing from vehicles helps locate animals, then finish on foot. Bow, rifle, and muzzleloader are all options.
Typical Shots:
-
Rifle/Muzzleloader: 80–250 yards is common, with opportunities longer or shorter based on conditions.
-
Archery: 20–50 yards from ground blinds, elevated stands or natural cover.
A range session with rifle or bow on arrival ensures zero/point-of-impact (loaner rests and sandbags available).
Guide Ratio & Pace: 1×1 or 2×1 guiding based on your group. The pace is determined by you: plenty of breaks, clear shot selection coaching, and flexibility for youth hunters or first-timers without compromising trophy potential.
Terrain: Rolling hills, river gorges, forested draws, thick oaks and prairie edges, food plots, and water features designed to create natural travel corridors. Trails allow quiet access to set up downwind, with minimal hiking required (accommodations available for limited mobility).
Field Care: Your guide handles caping, quartering, and cold storage. They will coordinate taxidermy and meat processing per your preference, plus provide shipping options and documentation as needed.
Timing & Rut Windows: The property hunts well throughout the season, with classic rut activity offering vocalization, bugling/roaring, and heightened daylight movement. We’ll recommend dates based on your weapon choice, desired experience (rut vs. post-rut patterning), and schedule.
Activities
When you’re not in the field, enjoy range time, UTV tours, lawn games, and cozy fireside evenings. Non-hunters can join for wildlife viewing, photography, or simply relax at the lodge. Ask about nearby touring options to add museums, local eateries, or small-town shopping to your trip.
