Our First-Hand Experience

We enjoyed our time here and came away impressed by both the hunting and the overall atmosphere of the lodge. One of the things that stood out right away was how much game we saw. Every day in the field felt exciting, and there was always that sense that something could happen around the next corner. The guides were kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, creating an experience that felt comfortable and well cared for from the start.

Back at the lodge, the good Southern cooking was exactly what you hope for after a day outdoors, and the massive fireplace quickly became a natural gathering place each evening. It is the kind of setting that brings everyone together to relax, share stories from the day, and enjoy time as a family or group. This destination offers that balance we value at Family Expeditions—strong hunting, warm hospitality, and a lodge atmosphere that makes the trip memorable both in and out of the field.

Accommodations & Meals

Lodge Amenities

One of the ranch’s biggest strengths is offering a true hunting experience without sacrificing comfort.

The lodge is designed to be part of the experience, not just a place to sleep between hunts. After time in the field, guests can relax in inviting common spaces, enjoy appetizers, and soak in the slower pace of ranch life. Amenities like a heated pool and comfortable gathering area with large fireplace make the experience feel like a true vacation.

The bedrooms provide the restful space you need after days of excitement. Warmly decorated with animal skins and mounts and everything you need from private bathrooms with excellent showers to ample clothing storage.

There are no bag limits on hunting exotic game on private property, and Texas allows year-round hunting for non-native species.
