This is an authentic “gaucho style” Argentinian hunt. If you are looking for a rustic experience where you are guided by a gaucho, stay in a hunting-camp style ranch house, and hunt a working cattle ranch then this is the hunt for you! You will have the opportunity to hunt monster free range and high fence red stag as well as water buffalo, blackbuck, axis, mouflon, dove, fallow deer, dorset sheep, and four horned sheep.
This outfitter has prioritized excellent natural management on his property. He has no added genetics but boasts red stag ranging from 250-350 SCI points both in the free range and high-fenced areas. These are exciting spot & stalk hunts either by truck (but there is no shooting from the trucks), hiking, or horseback as well as large box blinds. 36,000 acres of diverse terrain takes you from plains to dense brush to creek beds. The high-fenced area is about 2,400 acres.
The property’s old ranch house has space for 6 guests in three bedrooms with their own bathroom. It is reminiscent of a hunting-camp style house with everything you need and nothing else. The comfortable seating includes a small living room with a large brick fireplace that includes the dining room. The food is classic comfort food: deer ham, wild boar ham, grilled lamb, vegetables and of course the traditional Argentine Asados.
This is the spot for families or groups looking to have an authentic-as-it-comes Argentinian hunt!
Accommodations & Meals
The lodge is located in a 20-acre manicured area of the property with old trees, perfect to enjoy the fresh air while sitting on the outdoor patio. The Lodge can accommodate up to 6 hunters at the same time in comfortable rooms. With a cozy atmosphere, the very rustic ranch house offers a comfortable living room with its inviting fireplace as a centerpiece, a dining room boasting comfort-food filled meals, and great Argentinian wines. The meals always include a wonderful display of local ingredients like red deer ham, wild boar ham, grilled lamb, and of course the traditional Argentine Asados.
The three individual guest rooms at the lodge are spacious and comfortable. Each has a private bath with full amenities, including hot showers to wind down from long days in the field.
Hunting
Argentina is known worldwide as a paradise for Big Game Hunting. This is due to the great extensions of land that provide the perfect habitat for a great number and diversity of animals.
Every year hunters from all over the world travel to Argentina to hunt the majestic Red Stag during their rut, the roaring season. This is an exhilarating hunt in the midst of one of the most spectacular events nature can offer.
This hunting area is located in the Province of La Pampa. Due to the high concentration of game and the number of species found there, hunting in the La Pampa area is ideal for both big game and wing shooting. You will hunt from trucks, on foot, by horseback or from large box blinds.
The three main species are red stag, water buffalo and the blackbuck antelope plus another 10 big game trophy species. Red stag, axis deer, mouflon, water buffalo, blackbuck antelope, fallow deer, Dorset sheep & four horned sheep, Scottish blackface, hybrid ram, Somali ram, wild boar, karakul ram and wild goat. More than a dozen options offering different challenge levels. All of them are found in free range. Red Stag can be found in the high fence area.
Dove hunting is an option. In December you can hunt the sunflower fields and expect to shoot 500-900 shells. In June-Aug you will drive 40 min away for an all-day hunt with BBQ lunch. You can expect to shoot 2,000 shells.
The ranch also offers very good Perdiz hunting as a fun bonus. Similar to a walking quail hunt here in the states except Perdiz are normally found as singles or pairs instead of larger coveys. They have all 3 species of Perdiz on the ranch.
Activities
The hunting is the primary focus at this lodge. Depending on the weather, non-hunters or hunters who want to take some time off can enjoy horseback riding and watching the gauchos work.
Length of Stay / Itinerary
