In one five night journey you and your friends will shoot ducks, perdiz, giant perdiz, pigeons and dove. A flawlessly planned smorgasbord of shooting for the discerning hunter.
With only five hunters, you will enjoy this trip exclusively for your group. Eight shooters is the maximum for this amazing experience.
You will experience no long car drives on arrival or departure days as your drives between lodge is a maximum of three and a half hours. On a typical travel day, you will hunt in the morning and drive and siesta during the middle of the day in order to preserve your afternoon shoot! This is a beautifully planned shoot with an amazing variety of birds to keep you entertained.
There are no domestic commercial flights! You will enjoy a private charter flight that will be included in your package pricing.
Accommodations & Meals
You will enjoy two different very comfortable lodges for this amazing experience!
The first is a comfortable estancia centered in one of the best waterfowl areas in the Buenos Aires Province.
The second, formerly a famed big game estancia located right on the best pigeon and giant perdiz habitat in Argentina.
Both estancias have 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
Hunting
Located in the provinces of Buenos Aires and La Pampa, this two-estancia combination offers close proximity to an abundant population of duck, pigeon, both spotted and larger elegant crested tinamou (giant perdiz), and dove.
This is truly a mixed-bag wingshooting program offering great gunning for all of Argentina’s sportiest species.
Duck shooting is similar to the standards established by their other duck lodges and may include shooting over small or large ponds and irrigation canals, which provide for incredible decoying. All duck blinds are within 30 minutes from the estancia and 10 yds from the pick up truck. A number of duck blinds are conveniently situated for a half day shoot on the way to the upland area in La Pampa Province.
Giant Perdiz (or Montaraz) either driven or over dogs is bountiful and can only be shot legally in the Pampa’s brushlands.
Pigeons abound in the brushy habitat favored by the Giant Perdiz. Expect hundreds of pigeons coming in to decoy from all directions. This is truly a great shooting experience that rivals or surpasses the pigeon shooting in England and Paraguay.
Doves are shot at one of South America’s largest roost next to estancia and rivals Cordoba, with the added bonus that there is no significant driving time.
Perdiz A classic. The spotted tinamou (or common perdiz) gets up with an explosive take-off and flies swiftly and in a straight line making it a very challenging target; one that upland gunners love to hunt over pointing dogs.
Length of Stay / Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in the morning where you will be met by your host at the Buenos Aires Airport. Three and half hour drive to the estancia where you will enjoy lunch and an afternoon duck hunt. After the hunt you will enjoy cocktails and a delicious dinner.
Day 2: Duck in the morning and afternoon with drives from 10-40 minutes. You will have plenty of time for a nap and excellent field lunch during the mid day and hunt ducks in the afternoon again. After the hunt you will enjoy cocktails and a delicious dinner.
Day 3: 45 minute drive to duck shoot in the morning. After the morning hunt a one hour drive to a lovely country inn for lunch and a nap. 45 minute drive to an excellent dove shoot better than Cordoba! After the hunt, a 45 minute drive to the estancia for cocktails and dinner.
Day 4: Morning dove only 5 minutes drive with plenty of time for your mid day nap. Afternoon you decide decoying pigeon (10-40 minute drive) or 5 minute drives to giant perdiz over dogs or prediz over dogs. Cocktails and dinner.
Day 5: Morning dove only 5 minutes drive with plenty of time for your mid day nap. Afternoon you decide decoying pigeon (10-40 minute drive) or 5 minute drives to giant perdiz over dogs or prediz over dogs. Cocktails and dinner.
Day 6: This morning choose from any of the previous PM hunts and then transfer to Santa Rosa airport for your King Air charter flight into BA international airport for your flight home or continue on touring.

Family Expeditions, LLC confirmation and refund policy:
If your trip is more than 90 days out from date of departure, a 50% non-refundable deposit confirms your reservation and must be received within 10 days of booking to confirm your dates. All trips must be paid in full at least 90 days prior to the departure date. If your trip date is within 90 days, FULL payment for the trip is required. All payments to Family Expeditions are non-refundable. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your trip, we will do everything in our power to assist you in finding a suitable substitute or transferring your dates per the lodge/providers/government requirements. Trip insurance protects your investment!
