Hunting
This beautiful ranch consists of roughly 85,000 acres of prime habitat with an abundance of free-range Red Stag, Blackbuck, Water Buffalo, wild boar, wild goats, wild rams and multi-horned ram. Stag antlers are naturally heavier here than most parts of La Pampa because of the high protein grasses along with natural springs loaded with prime minerals that produce top quality trophies. The terrain is like parts of the Texas Hill Country with gentle rolling hills and brush cover.
The hunt will be a combination of driving vehicles, spot & stalk, hiking, blinds or stands. They will do whatever is necessary for your success.
Realistic conservative free-range size expectations in this area are for a 6×6 or 7×7 stag in the 250-280 gross SCI range. They have harvested 8×8 and better with the largest scoring close to 340 gross SCI.
There is a 5,000 acre high-fenced area which has larger red stag, axis, fallow, mouflan, wild goats, wild rams and multi-horned ram.
As an extra bonus, if you bag your trophies early fill your remaining time with some great pigeon hunting on the ranch for a small additional fee! Nothing could be better!!
Activities
The ranch offers several activities for observers/ non-hunters. Typically, this area has very little water but there are several lakes on the ranch next to sand dunes where they can organize some fishing and water activities such as sailing and kayaking. It also offers horseback riding, trekking, ATVs, and game viewing. You need to be an experienced rider to ride these horses. All the above activities are on the ranch and are included in your hunt package.
Wine tastings and massages can be arranged at the ranch for an additional fee.
Sightseeing or shopping in Santa Rosa can be arranged with a guide from town for an additional fee. Santa Rosa is a small town with only a few blocks considered “downtown” so the shopping & touring options are minimal at best. If shopping is the goal, we suggest adding a day or two in Buenos Aires to the front or end of your trip.
Adding 1-3 days of high-volume dove shooting is another option to this trip! We have several options to consider so let’s discuss these fantastic options!
