For those that do not want to stay in a tent in Alaska, what about an Alaska luxury boat hunt? Enjoy the comforts of a hot shower, chef prepared meals and a comfortable bed while hunting in Alaska. While in the outfitting business since the 1990’s the boats have upgraded over the years to what is now an 85 foot yacht. But, we don’t want to mislead you as you will actually hunt from 18 foot skiffs. So yes, cold, wet and miserable is still the daily weather in Alaska, at least you come home each evening to all the comforts of home. Like any hunt in Alaska, bringing the right equipment is imperative and we supply you with a detailed list to make sure you have all you need!
On your Alaska luxury boat hunts include black bear, brown bear, mountain goat and sitka deer hunts. In the summers you might even enjoy bringing your family for an Alaskan adventure on your own private yacht. The yacht roams throughout the southeastern area of Alaska. This area is known as the inside passage. It is common to see whales during the summer months as well as other sea life.

Hunting
Black Bear: Season – April through June and September
Wolf add-ons are available for bear hunts – opportunistic hunt
On our Alaskan Black Bear hunts, we maintain a 95-100% success rate. These are six-day hunts and we can take up to four hunters on these hunts. We average 7 ft. with bears ranging from 6.5 ft to-7.5 ft. Some exceptional few are nearly 8ft. We hunt these trophies in the same fashion as the Alaskan Brown Bear, in both the spring and fall, using the same methods and techniques based from our 80ft. yacht. Unlike the majority of other operations in Southeast Alaska who have one guide use area and are confined and limited to it and its beaches and bays.
Brown Bear: Season – April through May and Mid September
We offer personal one on one hunting guide service with our 10 day Alaska Brown Bear hunts, only taking 2 to 4 hunters at a time to ensure you the best opportunities to see and choose from as many trophy Alaskan brown bears as possible. The average size of our bears is 8 1/2 ft. to 9 1/2 ft. This is a good representation of the coastal brown bears in Southeast Alaska. These brown bears can measure up to 9 1/2 ft. in this part of the state. Typically, this is the largest size you will find in this area of Southeast Alaska.
Mountain Goat: Season – end of November
Mountain goat habitats in Alaska are harsh and unforgiving. Much time and energy are needed to successfully negotiate the poor late-season weather conditions and rugged terrain found on hunts for the long-haired trophy mountain goat. That’s why the expertise and experience makes such a difference.
We offer custom late-season Alaska mountain goat hunts. We have had well over 100% opportunity and enjoyed a nearly 100% success rate on our mountain goat hunts!
Our five-week mountain goat hunting season runs from the last week of October to the end of November. These goats, found only in the coastal mountains of Southeast Alaska, have incredibly beautiful long hair at this time of year. The goats are in rut during this season; combined with snow and cold weather, this pushes them to lower altitudes where they are more accessible, making the hunt enjoyable for everyone, without undue danger or stress.
Our Billy Goats average nine inches plus, and vary from 8.5 to 10 inches. In that time we have had nearly 100% success rate with 100% opportunity on these 7-day hunts. This alone speaks volumes about our Alaska mountain goat boat hunts.
The area we hunt is the only one like it in North America, with a high population of between 400 and 600 Mountain Goats. On a bad day, we may only see 20 or 30 Goats. On a good day, we can see as many as 100 Goats. The long hair, accessibility of the goats, not having to climb to hunt them, along with five-star accommodations aboard our luxury yacht each evening is what makes this hunt so unique. Each hunter has their own private cabin with full bathroom. You will have all the amenities of home, along with a full-time chef onboard.
Sitka Deer: Season: Late November combined with Mountain Goats
Sitka Deer hunts in Southeast Alaska are generally conducted in Late November in combination with our Late Season mountain goat hunts. They are still in rut at this time and they are typically on the beaches and very accessible this time of year. The combo Mountain Goat/Sitka Deer hunt runs from November 15 – 25 each year. We typically run 100% opportunity on these stocky, unique, beautiful deer, and typically 100% success as well, as there are very good populations in our hunting area. They run in score size typically 70 to 90 points on the Boone & Crockett Club scale but do occasionally get some in the high 90’s to 100 point range as well.
The Sitka Deer in Alaska are fun and exciting to hunt, and have unique color and markings compared to any other Deer species. All Sitka Deer hunts will be based on current weather and hunt conditions and can change at the last minute.
