Zambia Hunting Safari
For the discerning hunter looking for a Zambia hunting safari, look no further. Here, we offer fair chase and free range hunts only. This is a true remote bush experience located near the famous national parks in Zambia. You will be hunting just shy of 900,000 on GMA land in most instances or even larger areas. Primary species here would be dangerous game animals as well as some of the largest sable in the world. The leopard hunting is without compare. Our hunters here enjoy a nearly perfect track record. Buffalo hunting and the occasional management elephant are also hunted here. Crocodile and hippo are found nearby as well as sitatunga as dedicated hunts or in addition to leopard and buffalo hunting.
Besides some excellent cat hunting, you might also like to add to your trophy collection some of these trophies: Chobe Bushbuck, Livingstone Eland, Crawshay‘s Waterbuck, Black and Kafue Lechwe and Sitatunga and more.
Your Zambia hunting safari outfitter has been in business since the early 1990’s. He is one of the very best in the business. What distinguishes this safari company is brutal honesty, integrity and longevity. Possibly even above that is that his staff is like his family. Family Expeditions has never visited a lodge or a series of lodges with a happier, more fulfilled staff. We were impressed and you can see from some of the photos below what we experienced on our check out trip.
Quotas are strictly monitored and controlled to ensure sustainable off take and maintain superb trophy quality. Only one Safari is booked into camp at a time so you are assured of exclusivity.
Each safari is customized to your interests.
Accommodations & Meals
As you can see from the photos below, the camps are permanent traditional thatch over stone. Typical camps will offer 4 – 5 private chalets and a common outdoor firepit area. The meals are served in a thatched permanent lodge.
A fresh vegetable garden ensures that your meals are varied and delicious. A combination of wild game, chicken, beef, pork and lamb are on the menu.
Hunting
Professional hunters (PH):
A qualified and experienced dangerous game professional hunter will accompany you on your hunt at all times. 1×1 guided is the preferred hunt but depending on the game sought and time allowed, 2×1 is available. Your professional hunter plays a major role in your African Adventure. His extensive hunting experience will ensure that you will obtain the best trophies in an ethical way and make your safari the experience of a lifetime.
This outfitter has been offering safaris since the early 1990’s! His reputation is without compare.
Dangerous game hunting:
Leopard hunters will find this outfitter and the hunting concessions to be among the finest and highest opportunity hunts in Africa. These hunts are not for the faint of heart. Leopard hunts are an “all in” commitment for the entire hunt. It is best to combine a plains game hunter with a leopard hunter so that the baits can be shared on this hunt allowing the leopard hunter to concentrate on hunting his cat.
Plains game hunting:
The area is known as one of the finest sable areas in Africa. If you wish to hunt plains game, the sable is your signature species here. Some of the other interesting species found here are the Crawshay’s waterbuck, Oribi, and Lichtenstein Hartebeest.
Ethical free range hunting:
Here is a quote directly from your safari outfitter concerning sustainable and ethical hunting:
“We are committed to provide you, our client, with a most unforgettable African experience. Our professional hunters are skilled, ethical sportsmen who will ensure that you look back on your safari, and the manner in which each trophy was taken, with pride.
To us, not only the trophy but the entire experience is paramount. Our areas are regarded as the finest hunting blocks in Southern Africa, but the emphasis is placed on the thrill of the chase. On your return home, we want the memories of sight, sound, people, smells and the atmosphere of Africa to haunt you until you return. Hunting plays a major role in our conservation efforts in Africa. To this end the manner in which we hunt, the old animals we select as trophies and the ethical, professional image we portray as hunters will ensure hunting always remains critical to conservation. We will do our utmost to select old, top-quality trophy specimens for you, which will be hunted in fair chase. To do this, you will be required to, at times, walk a fair distance, endure heat, thirst and cold, and after all this make a good clean shot. It is essential you practice with your firearms prior to your arrival in Africa. Go ahead, use the bench at your shooting range to sight in your rifle, but also practice sitting, prone and offhand shots.
We have the exclusive trophy hunting rights to all our areas, which in turn are regarded as some of Southern Africa’s finest trophy hunting concessions. Emphasis is placed on fair chase ethical hunting. It is very important that we are informed at the time of booking what your priority species are, and what the primary objectives of your safari are. This will allow us to allocate the best area to you and to ensure that the required tags are reserved for you from our set quota.
Certain species are restricted to minimum safari duration – these days have to be booked and paid for, irrespective of whether the animals are bagged or not. The minimum booking for plains game is seven days. For safaris ten days or less, only one area will be hunted while safaris of longer than fourteen days will allow two areas to be hunted.
Certain species are restricted to specific areas and trophy quality is better in some areas, so prior planning is important.”
Length of Stay / Itinerary
Safaris are booked for 7 day up to 24 days and beyond depending on the species hunted.

The camps enjoy good internet but are not strong enough for streaming. There is little to no cell service in most areas. We suggest that if you must communicate with home or the office that you bring a Sat phone with you.
