Accommodations & Meals
The family owners planned and engineered the environment of the lodge to satisfy even the most discriminating client. With 28 private bedrooms and 5 suites, no detail has been spared to make your entire experience both memorable and exciting.
The cigar & cognac bar is a guest favorite after the hunt to relax and tell the stories of the day over a cold drink and a nice cigar. The game room has a pool table and other gaming tables, its own fully stocked mini-bar, high-def LCD TVs, comfortable seating, and beautiful full-body trophy mounts. The spa & fitness area offers free weights, resistance machine, treadmills, and elliptical trainers. Or you may prefer the sauna, hot tub, or massage.
Add to all this a first-class 5-Stand facility to practice your shooting as well as a great golf nearby and you have an atmosphere that can’t be beaten.
Meals:
Each delicious meal is prepared by their Executive Chef and leaves nothing to be desired. Beginning with gourmet coffee around the fireplace in the morning as breakfast is being prepared to your gourmet dessert after dinner, each meal is fabulous. Main entrées include seafood, poultry, wild game, and the finest beef which will be paired with the perfect wine from the wine cellar.
Fishing
Just minutes away, Lake Oahe is known for its great Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, and Northern Pike fishing. Enjoy fully guided, all-day fishing with professional guides using premier tackle and equipment. Jigs, minnows, and flies are all options. The lodge will send lunch, snacks, and drinks with you and the convenient boat ramps are only 10-25 minutes from the lodge depending on what the fish are doing.
Activities
With your time off from fishing you can shoot sporting clays at the all-weather enclosed 5-stand sporting clays course during any down time. Loaner guns and shells are available for your convenience. One round is included in your package. There is a small fee for additional rounds.
They also have some long-range rifle shooting up to 500 yards for more fun. They have a 50-caliber rifle as well!
One of the top links-style golf courses in the country is only minutes away as well.
Travel Details & Location
There are several commercial flights into Pierre, SD Regional airport (PIR) where you will be greeted by the lodge staff who will transport you back to the lodge. It’s only 20 minutes.
Private planes should land in Pierre as well. Sioux Falls is about a 3 1⁄2 hour drive and Rapid City is about 3 hours.

Complimentary W-Fi is available and cell services are good in the area.

Family Expeditions, LLC confirmation and refund policy:
If your trip is more than 90 days out from date of departure, a 50% non-refundable deposit confirms your reservation and must be received within 10 days of booking to confirm your dates. All trips must be paid in full at least 90 days prior to the departure date. If your trip date is within 90 days, FULL payment for the trip is required. All payments to Family Expeditions are non-refundable. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your trip, we will do everything in our power to assist you in finding a suitable substitute or transferring your dates per the lodge/providers/government requirements. Trip insurance protects your investment!
